Teaching Philosophy

I believe education should be creative, relevant, and real-world ready. As someone who spent over a decade as a Creative Director before becoming an educator, I bring a hands-on, industry-informed approach to every class I teach, whether it's digital design, film, video production, or generative AI.

In my classroom, students are more than learners; they’re designers, filmmakers, editors, storytellers, and innovators. I focus on project-based learning that reflects real professional workflows, helping students build skills they can take straight into the field. From crafting their first Photoshop composition to producing short films or experimenting with AI-generated media, I aim to make every assignment meaningful and empowering.

Technology is constantly evolving, and so is the way we teach. That’s why I integrate emerging tools like AI chatbots, virtual production, and creative automation into my courses, not just to keep things current, but to help students gain a competitive edge.

Above all, I teach to help students grow. I’m committed to creating a learning space that’s inclusive, supportive, and built on mutual respect.

Many of my students are navigating college as the first in their families to do so, and I take that seriously. I strive to meet them where they are and help them go farther than they thought possible.

Education changed my life, and I want to pay that forward by helping students build both their skills and their confidence.

My goal is simple: to guide and mentor the next generation of creative professionals, leaders, and changemakers.
