Kent Kay | Filmmaker & Educator
I create and teach cinematic experiences that fuse storytelling with instructional innovation.
"Perfect"
In this short film, I served as one of the Co-Producers and also as the Gaffer or Chief Lighting Technician on set. After months of planning, Perfect was shot over two days. I was proud that this film allowed many exemplary students to learn about the craft of filmmaking in significant roles. It is now on the film festival circuit and premiered this year at the Hollyshorts festival at the Hollywood Chinese Theater.
"Hope After Harvey"
I served as cinematographer on this project that would serve to help inspire Houstonians to stand up and work to help their neighbors and work to rebuild the city of Houston after a devastating Hurricane. I was nominated for an Emmy award and received a Promax award for my work on this project.
